Good for Lost Things

I work trad-craft and the easiest way to find something is to stick a pin in your couch. You’ll find it, sure enough.
As for why, it’s a subtle reminder to your house spirits that they are there only by your generosity and that you can put their feet to the fire just as easily as you can have them feast. If you’re a soft touch (I am), you can leave cream out as a gift once you’ve found your lost item.
